SETUP

  1. Propane gas griddles are for OUTDOOR USE ONLY.
  2. Place griddle on a level area clear of combustible items.

OPERATION

  1. The griddle surface is made of steel and has been lightly coated with vegetable oil to protect against rusting. Use a paper towel and wipe clean.  Apply your own non-stick surface coating if you desire.
  2. Before connecting regulator to propane tank, place all control knobs in the closed position. Control knobs are located on the side of the unit.
  3. Securely connect regulator to propane cylinder. The regulator is equipped with a hand wheel for hand tight regulator/tank connection.  NOTE Threads on propane tanks are left handed threads. Turn counter clockwise to tighten.  Turn clockwise to loosen.
  4. Open main cylinder valve.  Place a lit butane gun next to the front burner underneath the griddle surface and turn front burner control knob to open.  The front burner will instantly ignite.  Once the first burner is lit, the second and third burner will light by simply turning them on.
  5. Once burners are lit, adjust control knobs to desired temperature.
  6. CAUTION griddle top and frame will get very hot.
  7. When finished cooking close all control knobs, close main cylinder valve on propane tank and disconnect regulator from propane cylinder.
  8. The griddle is designed to be a griddle – NOT a stove to heat other pots and pans.  The griddle should be turned up hot enough to only cook the foods intended.  It should NOT be heated to extreme temperatures as a method of cleaning.
  9. A good griddle scraper is essential to clean up.  Most meals can be cleaned up by simply scraping and wiping down with a paper towel.  Scrubbing with a paper towel and ¼ cup table salt is also a good method of cleaning up.

PROPANE SAFETY

  1. Never use or store cylinders indoors.
  2. Keep main cylinder valve securely closed when not in use.
  3. WARNING:   PROPANE TANK VALVES ARE DESIGNED TO WORK COMPLETELY OPEN AND COMPLETELY CLOSED.  NEVER JUST CRACK THE VALVE.
  4. Always position cylinder so that connection between valves and regulator will not cause sharp bends in the hose or tubing.

DISCONNECTING AND TRANSPORTING

  1. Turn off all control knobs and close main cylinder valve.
  2. Place cylinder valve plug snugly in main cylinder valve outlet.
  3. Always transport and store cylinders in a secured, upright position.
  4. Never keep propane cylinders in a hot car or truck.  Heat could cause relief valve to discharge propane and create a dangerous situation.
